I adapted the provided 16:9 key art for Quidditch Champions into multiple master sizes, including square, vertical, and ultrawide formats. A key challenge was preserving important background details while ensuring elements like flags and characters remained in frame, without compromising visual believability. This required meticulously hand-extending cropped artwork and crafting custom shadows to seamlessly integrate added elements into the scene.
Working under tight deadlines, I relied on efficient layout judgment and asset management to maintain quality. Once the master sizes were finalized, I built out the game’s packshots across all platforms, ensuring key visual elements remained intact within the constraints of each package size.
Reflection: This project reinforced how effective lighting, reflection, and shadow placement can be used strategically to lead the eye and build depth, especially when reconstructing and extending artwork under time pressure. It pushed me to refine my approach to visual cohesion, ensuring adjustments felt natural while maintaining the integrity of the original composition.
